Just because your washables are in need of attention does not mean your laundry room has to follow suit. Take the dread out of doing loads of laundry by revamping the space. While a laundry room makeover may seem like the last update needed in a project-heavy household, simple tweaks garner major results.
Plus, laundry rooms are typically small in size, which equates to taking more design risks that can be simply executed. For this space, a few basic elements delivered major impact.
What was once an uninspired room became clean and styled simply by painting the cabinets, adding wallpaper, fixtures and accents. The timeless creamy paper flecked with golden prints is both current and timeless while integrating with the existing tile we originally thought needed to be replaced. We also salvaged the cabinets by painting them white with Benjamin Moore’s Advance paint rather than add pricey cabinetry. Replacing knobs in the modern, golden accent theme is another way to bring in a sophisticated look simply.
Adorning the walls with wallpaper, then adding details such as towels and toiletries to compliment the theme, finishes the look.
